2. Who can use ATFF?
ATFF can be used by SMEs, exporters, buyers, importers, manufacturers, agribusinesses, service providers, logistics companies, finance partners, government agencies, customs/regulatory users, and AfCFTA implementation stakeholders.
3. Is ATFF only for Nigerian businesses?
ATFF begins with strong Nigerian SME onboarding and AfCFTA implementation support, but it is designed as a Pan-African platform that can support businesses across AfCFTA member countries.
4. How does ATFF help SMEs?
ATFF helps SMEs register digitally, verify their business profile, list products, connect with buyers, understand AfCFTA requirements, upload trade documents, request logistics support, access finance opportunities, and track trade activity.
5. Is ATFF the same as an ordinary e-commerce website?
No. ATFF is more than an e-commerce website. It is designed as a digital trade operating system that connects marketplace activity with trade documentation, Rules of Origin support, logistics, finance, payment workflows, government dashboards, and AfCFTA implementation systems.
6. Does ATFF issue Certificates of Origin?
No. ATFF does not issue official Certificates of Origin. ATFF supports the preparation, validation assistance, routing, tracking, and storage of Certificate of Origin documentation. Official issuance, validation, and verification remain the responsibility of the relevant Designated Competent Authority.
7. What are Rules of Origin?
Rules of Origin determine whether a product qualifies as originating from an AfCFTA State Party and whether it may enjoy AfCFTA preferential trade benefits.
8. How does ATFF support Rules of Origin?
ATFF provides product origin assessment support, HS Code fields, origin document upload, raw material/input declaration, origin readiness scoring, Certificate of Origin application support, and review tracking.
9. Can buyers see whether a product is AfCFTA origin compliant?
Yes. Buyers may view product origin status, country of origin, certificate status, verified trader badge, and available compliance information, subject to privacy and document-sharing permissions.
10. Can SMEs upload trade documents on ATFF?
Yes. SMEs can upload and store documents such as business registration records, tax documents, invoices, packing lists, product certificates, supplier declarations, production records, logistics documents, and Certificate of Origin application documents.
11. Can logistics providers register on ATFF?
Yes. Logistics providers can register, list their services, submit quotes, receive shipment requests, update delivery status, and upload proof of delivery.
12. Can financial institutions use ATFF?
Yes. Financial institutions and trade finance partners can register to receive finance applications from SMEs, review trade documents, evaluate transaction readiness, and provide financial support where applicable.
13. What is a National Node on ATFF?
A National Node is a country-level dashboard or operational layer that helps coordinate SME verification, trade participation, institutional reporting, and government visibility within the ATFF ecosystem.
14. How does ATFF support government agencies?
ATFF can provide dashboards for monitoring SME onboarding, verified exporters, product listings, trade activity, Rules of Origin readiness, documentation status, logistics requests, finance activity, and AfCFTA utilization.
15. Does ATFF replace Customs, National Single Window, PAPSS, ADAPT, or ATG?
No. ATFF does not replace these systems. ATFF is designed to complement and integrate with existing and emerging AfCFTA digital trade systems by providing an SME-facing execution layer that simplifies access to trade opportunities and workflows.
16. Can ATFF connect to other systems in the future?
Yes. ATFF is designed to be API-ready and capable of integrating with systems such as National Single Windows, PAPSS-enabled payment rails, logistics APIs, trade finance partners, EDI systems, ADAPT/TWIN infrastructure, and government trade platforms where approved.
17. What is “Trade with Non-AfCFTA”?
“Trade with Non-AfCFTA” is a proposed ATFF feature that will allow SMEs to explore trade opportunities beyond Africa, including markets such as Korea and other global destinations, while maintaining AfCFTA as the primary continental trade foundation.
18. Is my business data safe on ATFF?
ATFF is designed to apply secure login, role-based access, document protection, audit trails, and privacy safeguards. Users should only upload accurate and authorized business information.
19. How do I get verified on ATFF?
After registration, you will be required to complete your business profile and upload relevant documents. Your profile may then be reviewed by the appropriate ATFF administrator, National Node, or authorized verification workflow.
